Grey Gardens opens!

Tonight was opening night for Grey Gardens! Our cast, crew, and orchestra did an amazing job. Heritage High school has truly provided us with an amazing space and an incredible group of students to partner with on this show.

Another wonderful thing is the article Casey Gillis wrote for Lynchburg’s newspaper, The News & Advance. Check out the link below to read it. Casey really captured the story perfectly.

“No, I’m not ready; I have no makeup on… but things are getting better!”- Little Edie

GREY GARDENS opens in 2 weeks! T-shirts, posters, and programs are being tweaked and the set is starting to look less like a set. Like the Edie’s would say, it’s all truly marvelous.

Also, the official Wolfbane website has been updated here, so check it out!

Soon enough the wait will be over. Lynchburg audiences will finally be able to escape from reality by “ENTERING GREY GARDENS”. You know, because “Entering Grey Gardens” is a song from the musical? Oh, you don’t? WELL COME SEE THE SHOW TO HEAR IT!!!

Grey Gardens VLOG!

Hello lovers of Wolfbane!

For Grey Gardens (or as I like to call it, GG), we’re taking lots of little videos to give our supporters a look behind-the-scenes. Rehearsals have been going so well! We have a truly wonderful cast! In the words of Big Edie, the show is going to be “simply marvelous!”

We’re working on a video complied of all the clips from the Big Edie portrait photo shoot we had last Saturday. Andrew Wilds was the photographer and he did such an amazing job!

ENJOY THE VIDEO! More to come soon!

GREY GARDENS

Hello, Wolfbane WordPress followers!!

Below you’ll see Dustin Williams, director for Wolfbane’s upcoming production of Grey Gardens, and Tim Osgood (who is playing George Gould Strong) completing the last bits of strike for The Last Five Years. What a special way to end our season’s first production, having some of the Grey Gardens’ cast and crew help out!

And now, on the behalf of Wolfbane, I invite you to follow us as we step into the worlds of Edith “Big Edie” Bouvier Beale and her daughter Edith “Little Edie” Bouvier Beale in the Tony-Award-winning musical GREY GARDENS!

The show will run in July 2010. Please Check back for updates on the production and event information! Until then, enjoy one of the many memorable quotes from the original Grey Gardens documentary…

Edith “Little Edie” Bouvier Beale: You can’t have your cake and eat it, too in life.
Edith “Big Edie” Ewing Bouvier Beale: Oh, yes, I did. I did, I had my cake, loved it, masticated it, chewed it and had everything I wanted.
