Well ladies and gentlemen, it’s CRUNCH TIME! You might have heard [or read in the title of this post] that our production of The Last Five Years is right around the corner! We finally moved into the Renaissance Theatre this week and we couldn’t thank them enough for all their work and support for this show. It’s our dream space for the production and I am so pleased to see it going so well. We have our orchestra pit together, our actors are definitely ready, props are in, costumes are set [thank you Julie Witcher and your sister!] poster is done and being displayed around town and now we build, paint and create. Working on lights tomorrow and some set dressing as well as building. I’m getting stoked! You should be too because this show is going to be incredible!

Thank You Carolyn Wagner

Not bad huh? Carolyn Wagner is our graphic designer out of NYC and I think she’s done a wonderful job with the poster. Also, check out next week’s copy of The Burg and the Lifestyles section of the News & Advance on Thursday… we may or may not be in there [we will]. I love this part of the process though… the moment when everything gets hectic and starts to fall into place and come together. I can’t wait for audiences to see these incredibly talented people rock your socks off. So go get your tickets at and fast! SPACE IS LIMITED! All tickets are General Admission and the house opens at 7:30 PM so get there early to get a good seat. Tickets will also be sold at the door 30 minutes before show time. There will be no intermission and the show has a run time of 90 minutes.

I am truly blessed to be able to present this show to you but I hope you enjoy it and we’ll see you at the Theater!

First Rehearsal BEGINS!

The Last Five Years is officially underway!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are going to be PHENOMENAL!

Tonight, we started a musical run through just touching on every song a bit so my actors and music director could get a feel for the music and what’s ahead of them. Fortunately, we have three EXTREMELY talented people doing this show. Heather Bales, our music director, is amazing and she has played the show once before. Even though she is familiar with it, ha she’ll be the first to tell you, it ain’t easy to play by any means! I’m sure she’ll be phenomenal during the run with a little practice and determination… something she can definitely handle. She sounded great behind the piano but if that weren’t enough… Dustin and Meme rocked it. Seriously, anyone in their right mind would have NEVER guessed this was our first rehearsal. Meme knows the music, is already making it her own and sounds like she’s been doing it for years [which she has but in the confines of her shower, house and car during roadtrips] and Dustin is perfect for this role and is sounding great, he’s surprising the hell out of me and we’ve been performing together for over 6 years! That, and he only started listening to the show about 2 months ago. This cast and music director already have made me a proud director and we’ve only just begun!  I cannot wait to see the finished product and what we’ll be giving to audiences! Start talking up the show NOW! Tickets are on sale at !

Finally got the scripts for The Last Five Years. Aren’t they B-E-A-utiful?!

Let the work begin. I’ve already blocked a few songs and the only interruptions so far have been creative discussions with Dustin about Last Five Years and updating the blog for all of our fans out there! Rehearsals will begin next week, look for photos and videos to follow shortly after we get under way. Our graphic designer, Carolyn Wagner, will begin working diligently on the poster for our production. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with. That’s all for now… but get excited… WE ARE!

Straight from the Wolf’s eye…

Hey dearest friends and fans of Wolfbane!!  Thanks to all of you who are keeping up with us here in blog world! It’s been great to hear feedback and from some of you guys who are enjoying following us on this site.

I thought I’d give my first update and share a bit of the ‘bane’s latest news!

First off, a very special thanks to Aaron for getting this blog up and running.  Blogging has been a foreign concept to me so we’re all very grateful for Aaron taking the time to help me find my way into the new decade.

As Aaron wrote, The Last Five Years is gearing up and we’re ready to hit the ground running with this brilliant show.  PLEASE be aware that space is going to be extremely limited for this one, so don’t waste any time securing your tickets!  We’re going to be working with again to make ordering more convenient!

We’re working hard to secure our summer season and are thrilled with the prospects!!  I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this season promises to be!  With these great shows and all of you amazingly skilled artists lending your talents, I cannot wait to see what we create!! Stay posted!  The list will be out very soon!

Wolfbane is also very excited to be in the midst of filing for our 501(c)(3) non-profit status!  This has proven to be quite the undertaking (hours spent downing coffee at Panera Bread researching and drafting, various “Idiot’s Guide” style readings to help navigate the wonderful language of the IRS, and the countless use of the phrase “wow, so we’re gonna be like real company!”), yet an enriching and worthwhile endeavor.  Very special thanks to Tom and Tim for all of their hard work with this!  I’ll be sure to keep you updated on the process!

Also, we’re still hoping to put together a cabaret to benefit the disaster victims in Haiti.  We’re waiting for the final word on the dates from the venue which I hope to get some time this week!  Again, I’ll post on here and Facebook as soon as we know anything!

Thanks again for reading!

Alright ladies and gents, get ready because by the end of this week Wolfbane will be announcing our full season with dates and a few locations! We’ll be looking at a total of at least 4 big productions and hopefully a few One Acts and possibly an original piece… now if that doesn’t bait you, I don’t know what will! Check back this week for the list of shows and the details on each one… I’m STOKED!
